Colors And Shapes Inspire Me...

In 1998, an art organization was set up by a group of local artists whereby Dorji was one of its founding members. They named the organization VAST which stands for Voluntary Artist Studio, Thimphu. Needless to say being a part of VAST was a huge step in guiding and helping Dorji’s explore his artistic expressions. Since then, art has become his life and is what he passionately does.

His hard work and dedication to contemporary art eventually led him to actively participate in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Bhutan and globally.
The artistic expression that he applies in his artwork is a way for him to share his life and vulnerabilities with others. As one of the torch bearers of contemporary art in Bhutan, Dorji hopes to fully engage himself in helping the youth in developing their art skills and supporting the Bhutanese Contemporary Art and upcoming artists in Bhutan.
